Fine Entertainments was set up in 2017 by two professional magicians, Jamie Docherty and Lewis Joss, better known as the double act Jay & Joss from Britain’s Got Talent 2024. Both are members of The Magic Circle and Associates of The Inner Magic Circle with Silver Stars.
We do four things. We hire out stage illusions, we design and build new ones, we help TV, theatre and brands make their magic work, and we book magicians and entertainers for events. Most of our work comes from people who need something impossible to happen on cue, safely, every time.
Illusion hire
Sawings, appearances, levitations and the Fire Cage, ready for a theatre tour, a TV studio or a one-night show. Dry hire if you’ve time to rehearse, or full service where we deliver, build on site and teach your team.
Bespoke illusions
New illusions designed and built in our own workshop, to order or to sell. Recent builds include the illusion for Stephen Mulhern’s 2025 Butlin’s show, where Stephen vanished on a motorbike and reappeared at the back of the room, and illusions and magic props for Dynamo’s new TV show.
Magic consultancy
Help for TV, theatre, tours, dance and festivals: choosing the right effect, rehearsing it and being there when it matters. We brought a sawing in half to The Jeremy Vine Show and sent our Fire Cage to Saturday Night Live at Television Centre.
Act bookings
Close-up and stage magicians, musicians and entertainers for weddings, parties and corporate events, including Jay & Joss themselves. We also look after pantomime illusions, PR stunts for brands, production hire and fun casinos.
